I ain’t no MIA fanboy, but this is pretty swag.
I swear under pain of penalty for perjury that I will never, ever harass anybody with a Kickstarter fund for anything, if you just do T H I S.
I am “poor”, but I can certainly afford to temporarily allocate $50 in loans to somebody in a country that has almost no loan infrastructure and is…
I’ve supported several businesses through Kiva and I’ve always been repaid. The repayment rate for Kiva loans is something incredible like 98.9%, which basically puts any other loan system by banks to great shame. You can gift people loan accounts, which is a good Christmas present, and helps get people involved in the organization.

“Man isn’t a noble savage, he’s an ignoble savage. He is irrational, brutal, weak, silly, unable to be objective about anything where his own interests are involved—that about sums it up. I’m interested in the brutal and violent nature of man because it’s a true picture of him. And any attempt to create social institutions on a false view of the nature of man is probably doomed to failure.”-Stanley Kubrick, 1972
